We’ve always known that our Helpdesk Manager, Gaby, is an absolute powerhouse... and now, the world knows it too!

Gaby has just been featured in Forbes Ecuador, and we couldn’t be more excited to see her story celebrated on such a big stage.

Gaby left her hometown of Portoviejo, Ecuador, at just 20 years old to study English in Australia. What started as a short adventure soon turned into a life-changing journey. Over the years, she worked in restaurants, as a physiotherapy assistant, and even as a massage therapist — all while studying, adapting, and staying laser-focused on her goals.

In 2023, a heartfelt post she shared on an Australian community app caught the eye of our founder and CEO, Lisa Macqueen. Gaby’s authenticity, values, and sharp mind instantly stood out. Even without a background in commercial cleaning, she jumped in fearlessly, learned fast, and grew right along with her role.

Today, as Cleancorp’s Helpdesk Manager, Gaby leads one of our fastest-growing teams — combining operations, logistics, and technology to support over 400 clients across Australia and New Zealand. She’s played a key role in helping us triple our client base and expand our impact.

But beyond the impressive stats, Gaby represents so much more. She embodies resilience, courage, and the power of believing in yourself even when the path isn’t clear.

In her Forbes Ecuador interview, Gaby shared how she still holds Ecuador close to her heart, from the food she misses to the warmth of its people. Her story is a powerful reminder that your roots can stay strong, no matter where you grow.

When asked about advice for other dreamers looking to move abroad, Gaby said:

“Just do it. It’s going to be hard, but that journey is what shapes you. If you believe in yourself and keep going, there will always be rewards waiting for you.”

We’re so proud to have Gaby on the Cleancorp team, not just as a leader, but as a constant source of inspiration to everyone around her.

Congrats, Gaby! We’re so proud of you!
